Portland Timbers Visit ESA Camp for an Unforgettable Day of Soccer & Smiles

This summer, our campers got the surprise of a lifetime when members of the Portland Timbers stopped by Elite Sports Academy to spend the day playing soccer, answering questions, and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

The energy was electric as the pros joined our kids on the field—running drills, playing mini games, and sharing laughs with campers of all ages. For many of our athletes, it was their first time meeting a professional soccer player up close, and they made the most of every moment.

Learning from the Pros

After some friendly competition on the field, the players sat down for a special Q&A session, where campers asked everything from “What’s your favorite goal you’ve ever scored?” to “What advice do you have if I want to go pro one day?”

Their answers were filled with wisdom, heart, and encouragement. The message was clear: dream big, work hard, and always believe in yourself.

Memories That Last

The day wrapped up with autographs, photos, and high fives all around. Each camper left with not just a signed memento—but a lasting memory of what’s possible when hard work and opportunity come together.
